The other chefs will dck around while i am the only one prepping and cleaning the kitchen and she will go out with them and encourage the laziness. - - sushi chef fu. ehhh two faced and sushi is all rice and the rice is old and crappy. go to wok with you at park point, delicious and most importantly FRESH ingredients. but all in all hes an ok guy once you get past all his b.s..nahhh hes whack too. - - the place is a dump, theres mold, rats, racoons, cats, mosquitoes, flies, bees, etc...basically every damn animal on noahs ark. the vents are pouring out oil onto the grill and the chefs just wipe it off and start cooking [its baked on to the grill by then] and serve it to the guest like nothing happened. the kitchen...good god the cooler is never working so things are always spoiling and they WIll serve it spoiled, the butcher block is from the 70s and hasnt been sanitized ever unless i am the one personally closing the back, the employee bathroom..water is dripping from the ceiling there is shit stains from months ago, piss on the floor, spiders and nasty urine soaked tp and damn the customers bathroom isnt any better. the chefs never mop daily, dont change the butcher paper for the meats ever, dont rinse/ice the seafood so since the cooler is piss warm its slowly cooking it, sinks are full of old rice and food and the sauce buckets have mold in them. - - now you guys may think i am being a disgruntled employee since i quit on bad terms today but im just being honest. we failed the health inspection about 4-5 times this year then we finally got it [probably paid her off] but all the cleaning and what not has come to a halt once again so soon it will be just like it was, days of old dirt, grease, etc caked on the floor and i know theres plenty more but i am lazy and i am sure i said enough to make you guys not go back and to be honest i dont blame the guest for not coming back except for my regulars and eddies regulars who request us anyways. - - well folks its been a pleasure cooking for my regulars and even the new guest who have never experienced hibachi before. i applied at sogo, umi, and ill be going to plum garden again to try and get a job at one of those places so ill keep you guys informed if i even do go back to hibachi but my heart is telling me its time to get a big boy job again and actually make money. ill miss all you guys [the guest] and hopefully ill see you at once of the other real restaurants. i bid you all farewell. --["Users/KevinSirps"]

Once again, while it was aesthetically pleasing, it was EXTREMELY rice heavy and nowhere near what we asked for. If you don't want crazy stuff with fruit on it(which usually has no flavor and just tastes strange most of the time) just ask for simple rolls. The sushi chef is really friendly and knowledgeable about all sorts of things, although a proper conversation can be difficult because of his strong accent unfortunately, you only catch every other word. The Women's bathroom is in shambles, however, with peeling wallpaper. Never had anything but sushi here, so I can't comment on anything else. We have updated our menus as well as remodeled most of the restaurant [we are currently replacing the grill tops and the carpeting also!] and added new seasonings to the food. + + If you really want the inside scoop to all the restaurants get ready to come back to Arigato. After I left Arigato I went on to work at Tokyo Restaurant where I worked there for over a year or so. It was the most disgusting place i have ever worked in, I went on my hands and knees to clean that place up but no luck, plenty of cockroaches, mice, and rats. I left there to go work at the "amazing" Plum Garden...about that, sure everything is newer but half the "chefs" there couldn't make easy mac if their lives depended on it. My first day there I receieved plenty of complements about how I was the only chef that provided excellent customer service and my food wasn't over cooked or like most of the food there undercooked. [I'm saying that most of the chicken is always rare there and they leave it in used soy sauce buckets in the kitchen NOT in the cooler.] Might I add I found mice running around every now and then. + + Our food is seasoned right there in front of you with our homemade sauces and our specialty garlic butter. I personally prep all the vegetables that day so it is always fresh. Our rice isn't pre-seasoned like Tokyo where they cook the rice with all the seasonings before it even hits the table. All our other produce is received from Palmers so you know its of high quality. We take pride in keeping our kitchen clean I know in the past they had problems but I guarentee you even I would take my family here and I'm not just saying that because I don't like to eat out due to the fact that I know the background of most if not all restaurants. I've been in culinary positions my whole life not just Japanese, also Italian and American so this isn't my first betty crocker cook off. My brother-in-law works for the Monroe County health department bureau and tells me that Arigato is infested. They have even been told to close quite a few years ago. They claim to have fixed the problem, but there have been strange reports of customers getting food poisoning from their sushi. I wouldnt dine there, nor would I feed my childern their trash.
