History
The town and village of Avon are located in northwestern Livingston County. Formerly named Hartford, until 1808.

Major Roads
The Village of Avon is located on Route 5 and Route 20. Route 15 intersects Routes 5 & 20 in East Avon connecting with the town of Henrietta to the North and the town of Livonia to the South. Route 39 intersects Routes 5 & 20 in West Avon connecting to the town Geneseo. Interstate 390 is conveniently located about 2 miles East of the Village of Avon.
