Before Your Quiet Eye is a bookstore in Monroe Village. Run by Ken Kelbaugh, it specializes in "used and rare books and other collectible prints."1 They are a member of the Rochester Area Booksellers Association.
Before Your Quiet Eye went on a hiatus for a brief period until December 2012, when they reopened near the back of the building owned by pixilPreserve. The space was previously occupied by pandaman. A portion of their original mural has been maintained and forms the backdrop of Before Your Quiet Eye's children's books section and reading area.

2007-12-25 15:37:09 I happened on "Before Your Quiet Eye" a few days after I was grieving the loss of Gutenberg's as one of my favorite Christmas shopping spots. My visit was most enjoyable, and Ken is a congenial and knowledgeable 'host'. I made some outstanding finds that were great gifts, and I intend to return often and will encourage my friends and colleagues to visit.

2012-12-03 20:43:27 Hello, I have reopened the book store Before Your Quiet Eyes. It is now in the former space of Lumiere Photo which later became the store front for Pandaman-it is in the same hallway as Psychic's Tyme and pixelPreserve. Store hours are, currently, Thursday and Friday, 4-6 p.m. and Saturday 11-6 p.m. Additional hours will occur just before the holidays and during school vacations. I will post a telephone number later in the week. Hope to see you there. Ken —KennethKelbaugh
2013-02-07 18:01:18 The space is much larger than my previous location and the space is easier to negotiate. I plan on having a reopening event near the end of April. Please watch for this event and in the mean time stop by and visit the new location. —KennethKelbaugh
