Benrus

See Gone, But Not Forgotten

Benrus is a chain clothing and accessories boutique based in Providence, RI. They sell military-inspired men's and women's tops, jackets, watches, handbags, and backpacks.

Benrus was founded in the 1920s as a watch manufacturer who supplied the US military from World War II to Vietnam. Their signature timepiece is the Sky Chief worn by WWII aviators. The current retail concept and brand expansion was developed by Giovanni Feroce, a veteran and former CEO of Alex and Ani. Most of Benrus's products are made in the USA.

On February 19, 2015 Benrus opened its very first store here in Rochester, one of four launch markets that also includes Charleston, Newport, and Washington, DC. Naturally, their local spot is in the Culver Road Armory. Benrus also has a partnership with the Buffalo Bills to produce two large clocks for the new stadium. They will also be recognizing a member of the armed forces on-field during each home game.

The Rochester location closed in September 2016.
