Bread & Water Theatre is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit arts institution committed to making the arts accessible and affordable to a broad-based audience. Under the artistic direction of J.R. Teeter, BWT develops theater that speaks to our living, evolving, and dramatically changing world through new and rare works of drama, and aspires to be a major force in American theater, providing audiences with contemporary drama and community outreach programs.
Bread & Water Theatre's Rainbow Theater Festival is an annual initiative produced during the months of April and May featuring productions centered on queer life and inspired by the original Rainbow Pride Flag.
Founded in 2000. Originally at 243 Rosedale Street, they are now in the Cascade District in one of Downstairs Cabaret Theatre's old locations.
