We went there first on a Saturday evening hoping to come away with a positive review but we were sorely disappointed. To start, we couldn't find a parking spot within a block of the bar. (There is a small lot shared with Doc Hoa restaurant and tenants of the near by apartment buildings, but don't count on being able to park there if you are going on a "bar night"). We started with some appetizers, nachos and wings, standard bar fare. After waiting close to 35 minutes for the food to come to the table (we also waited almost 20 minutes for our draft beers) both of which you have to order at the bar. I found this very tacky. A place that advertises itself as a bar and grill should have wait staff. The food itself, if it had been warm, would have been mediocre at best. The wings were rubbery and barely sauced and the nachos were dry and stale. They had a limited beer and liquor selection, but plenty if you're into frat party drinks like bud light and jager bombs. This was our first impression of the Brickwood Bar and Grill. All of these bad impressions at this point could be choked up to it being a busy weekend night so we decided to give it another shot and go on a Wednesday evening. This time we tried some chicken fingers and mixed drinks, Should be simple for this type of bar, right?. NO. Again the food was slow coming and cold. We received the same indifferent bordering on rude treatment from the staff and had no better luck parking. + In Short, avoid this bar. If you are bar hopping Monroe ave there are far better places to take your money (check out our review of Marshall St bar and grill as well as The Owl House). + Don't get me wrong, if you are freshly 21 and want that college frat party atmosphere, don't mind cold food, and don't know what an IPA is, then this is your place. --["Users/RocBarReviews"]

Went to check it out around 7pm on Sunday and the first thing I noticed was a beer chalkboard on the street that said "Sunday Brunch", which struck me as a bit odd. Inside was very dark with loud music and TVs showing baseball. And also, devoid of people. Eventually someone came by and told us that they're usually closed by now, but they'd re-open the kitchen for us but food would probably take a while.
