And she did a damn fine job, better than I've had at some other places for sure. The service was well paced with time between arriving getting our orders and such (probably because she had to ask questions) so I enjoyed it. There's a nice set of Frank Sinatra and other type music playing, which along with the old man at the bar that's too close to the wall when you walk in, and the low ceiling makes the place feel real homely and comfy. + + The food was cooked perfectly. That's pretty much the best way to describe it. I ordered coq au vin which is a complex dish and it was cooked done better than I could do at home. If I would say anything it's that it needed some salt and maybe some pepper since I like intense seasoning. Portions were right sized. The house French red wine was good, not fantastic, but respectable. Some of the best parts of the meal were the freshly made bread, I think it had to have been baked fresh that day based on the flavor and textured.
