Wikipedia article | Brockport, NY |
Brockport is a scenic Erie Canal port town west of Rochester and described on the Village website as
"... From our Main Street lined with quaint shops to the campus of State University of New York at Brockport, our village is both inviting to tourism and business."
The commercial area along Route 31 is south of the Village of Brockport, though most consider it to be part of "greater" Brockport. The commercial area was expanded when Wal-Mart opened a large super-center on the east end and a new Goodwill Store opened up nearby. Route 19 (as Lake Road) is the major North-South route through the village.
