CGI Communications, Inc., formed in 1988, is a communications company which provides high-impact marketing and promotion products to community and municipal management. Products include streaming web-based videos, video emails, and community highlight movies. They have over 80,000 customers including partnerships with over 1,200 municipalities and Chambers of Commerce nationwide.
The CEO, Bob Bartosiewicz was also the owner of the Rochester Raiders indoor football team. Some employees play for the team.
On May 29, 2009 Bartosiewicz announced with the Farrelly brothers (directors of Something About Mary and Dumb and Dumber) and Jim Kelly (Former Buffalo Bills QB and Hall of Famer) the creation of a new company called Fifth Year Productions to be headquartered in Rochester. The new company will be a television production company with plans for reality and sitcom television shows.
Headquartered in downtown's Convention District.
In 2015 Bartosiewicz announced the company will expand into two vacant buildings next door and convert their current headquarters in the Granite Building into loft apartments.
