Christ Church of Clarkson (formerly Clarkson Community Church) is a church located on Route 104 (West Ridge Road) approximately 17 miles west of Rochester, New York, and one mile north of Brockport, an historic college town on the Erie Canal. The town of Clarkson is a residential community of 7,000 featuring numerous historic homes.

History. Christ Church of Clarkson is one of the oldest congregations in Monroe County. Organized in 1816 as The First Presbyterian Congregational Church of Murray, the church alternated between [wikipedia]Presbyterian and [wikipedia]Congregational until 1969 when the name of the church was changed from The First Congregational Church of Clarkson to Clarkson Community Church. The colonial two-story clapboard church building was completed in 1825 and has had two subsequent additions, one in 1967 and another in 1985 giving the church over 13,000 square feet of usable space. The 100' tall steeple houses a large bronze bell cast in 1846 by the Meneely Bell Foundry in West Troy, New York.

In October, 2017, the church celebrated a belated bicentennial along with the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. To mark the occasion, the church name was changed to Christ Church of Clarkson.

Present Status. The church is affiliated with the [WWW]Fellowship of Independent Reformed Evangelicals, a world-wide association of [wikipedia]Calvinistic Baptist churches. WYSL simulcasts a weekly radio program, Grounded in Grace, each Sunday featuring the voice of Tony A. Bartolucci, the church's current minister of preaching.

Leadership. The church is led by elders (Kevin Lapp; Charles Walker; Larry Kemp; Tony Bartolucci) and deacons (Jack Fox; Jon MacNeill). Tony Bartolucci ([WWW] serves as the church's forty-third preaching pastor.

Sunday Worship. The worship services feature blended music (hymns and contemporary songs) and expository sermons drawn from biblical text.

Other Ministries. Home fellowship groups meet throughout the week at various locations. In 2013 the church added an [WWW]AWANA children's program to its ministry.
