Congregation Light of Israel is a small Sephardic (descendants of the Jews who lived in the Iberian Peninsula, Spain and Portugal, before their expulsion in the Spanish Inquisition) Orthodox Jewish synagogue located on Monroe Avenue. Prior to September 2011, services were shared with Congregation Beth Sholom until Light of Israel built their own synagogue.
