Huge disappointment. my husband got the Delmonico steak which was served rare instead of medium. the food would have probably been better if it was at least served on time and hot. The food wasn't awful, but the presentation sucked. I got the Delmonico and it was tasty, but just served on a plate just big enough for it with no garnish or anything. Same goes for the Fillet Mignon! I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again, but I wouldn't avoid it either. Overall I've tried three or four different dishes here and I was very happy every time. The Delmonico steak was always cooked close to perfect. (It has gone downhill though, I think - as the last time I was there I think I ended up cutting out close to half the steak in fat.) Another dish my girlfriend and I love is Frutti de Mare. Love it! Another dish I tried was the lasagna, and once again, a big hit. I have been to most of the Italian restaurants in Rochester and I would choose Delmonico's any day! + + And, the waitresses are hot, even my girlfriend took note! + + The only major annoyance is that for a place that wants to appear more upscale, they have way too many Applebee's-like Happy Birthday jingles with a whole bunch of uninspired personnel with sparklers come out chanting something indiscernible but very very loud and present the recipient with a dessert.
