This is one of the best townie bars around, despite being the closest bar to the ["university of rochester" U of R] Campus. Enjoy it wisely, and don't expect loud music and a meat market. --["JackCalcines"]
------
2006-01-26 18:12:38 nbsp Very nice bar but not handicapped accessible. --["Users/PeteB"]
------
2006-12-10 16:15:05 nbsp Great ["wings"], cooked crispy. Not with skin that the chicken could still be wearing like at the ["chain restaurants" chains]. The 'Suicide" style has just the right balance of max heat while allowing the flavor to come through. --["JoeMurty"]
------
2006-12-31 17:42:18 nbsp New website http://www.elmwoodinn.net/ --["PaulDean"]

------
2007-10-25 16:05:24 nbsp I've always found the service to be extremely friendly and usually pretty fast. The menu has a nice variety of bar food and regular entrees, and there are usually lots of interesting specials. --["RachelBlumenthal"]
------
2008-01-17 16:52:27 nbsp As someone who went here as a UR student 'back in the day', walking in now always freaks me out for a few minutes. I don't know whether they 'classed up the joint' and drove students away, or whether the remodel / re-concept was a response to the Saturday night drinking drinking crowds drying up and leaving them without a core market, but I suspect it was the latter. In any case, this place is VERY different than it used to be (for the better, I suppose, although I do get nostalgic for when it was darker and dirtier), and even still, I don't know if it's really anything special. It's a decent bar with (just) decent food - I wouldn't go there ever if it were out of my way. Am I missing something? --["BrendonTroy"]
------
2008-01-26 19:08:29 nbsp Fun place to watch ["baseball"]. Food is good and beer selection is adequate. --["NewtonNola"]
------
2008-02-20 11:24:59 nbsp Went Friday night for a fish fry. The place was packed - nice support for a local joint. We sat in the sun room or whatever you call it. Our server was exceptional. She was very friendly and seemed to have a rapport with every table. She handled a loud-mouthed group of four sitting across from us, like a champ. The food was plentiful and very good. Nice coleslaw. --["BigPun"]
------
2008-09-03 02:02:40 nbsp Great beer specials, wide variety of patrons, quality wings and good service. Amen. --["Users/WillChesebro"]
------
2008-09-03 10:19:58 nbsp Decent beer selection, but the food is awful. I guess Ill have to try the wings. Ive tried the food 3 times and havent had anything good yet. Its ALWAYS packed though, so I guess Im in the minority. Ambiance is nothing special, typical dive bar. --["Users/MrRochester"]
