There are shelves of jars and canned goods. They have some decent yogurt, kefir, and cheese in the refrigerated section, and many varieties of perogies and pelmeni in the freezer. I like to buy their half-sour pickles which they get shipped in bulk from Brooklyn and sell in small plastic tubs. I haven't tried the deli meats but they look good. Have bought some good smoked fish. They sell a fair amount of caviar and fish roe, and what most of my money often gets spent on at this market is on excellent salmon roe which is sushi quality "ikura" which I use when making Japanese meals. They sell refrigerated (frozen is usually available as well if you ask) ikura shipped from a company in Seattle, WA which obviously exports to Japan as well, because the only other labeling on the package besides English is in Japanese, which roughly translates to "exclusive top quality grade ikura". When I moved to Rochester, I would have never guessed that a european deli would be my source for ikura to be used for my sushi, chirashi zushi, salmon/ikura donburi, etc. --["Users/KairakuShugisha"]
