Then, as the reviewer below suggests, the place was still working through its kinks (strange considering the owner is no newcomer to running a bar) and didn't quite have the hang of its full food and drink menu. A particular sticking point for me remains their tardiness in changing over seasonal beers; they had Dundee's Summer Ale on tap through last week, and never ordered a keg of their Octoberfest. I can happily report, however, that they now offer Winterfest and other season-appropriate brews. + + What the Firehouse lacked in initial polish, it has more than compensated for with friendly service and a very cool atmosphere (free ping pong, reasonably-priced pool, sometimes free darts, a spacious and open layout) and great specials on all drinks: 2 for 1. You can usually count on having a great bartender-- our favorite is Audrey, who is now on first name basis with our whole gang-- that is, one who is adept at making the right amount of conversation with you, and is always willing to put your favorite show/game on one of their many televisions. The place has the feel of a neighborhood bar: they generously allow free samples of their many beers on tap; they regularly participate in tastings, pub crawls, and bar game leagues; and at least once per visit, so it seems, somebody is buying shots/rounds. This is no small part of the reason Firehouse has become my regular haunt. I go there every Sunday (Audrey works then) to watch the full slate of games (no matter who they're playing, Audrey puts the Ravens on a big screen for me) for cheap beer, good company, and .45 cent wings. And oh, those wings. They are delicious. The rest of the menu, which consists of traditional fried pub fare, is above average, fairly priced, and prompt to arrive after the order (remarkable considering that the bartenders often double as short order cooks). This is a great place to watch football-- it has no team allegiances and attracts a wide swath of fans-- or just hang out. In sum, I love the Firehouse! --["Users/JeffreyL"]

We saw them checking a Mr. Boston drink guide for instructions and my gf insist they didn't make the drink right. There was also no place to sit except at the bar so how do they serve food? The music was too loud so I couldn't hear my friends. I doubt I'll be going back here except for their beers. --["Users/DamianKumor"]
