The Genesee Country Nature Center is a park-like facility adjacent to the Genesee Country Village & Museum. It has a half-dozen different nature trails and is great for hiking or cross country skiing. Note that an admission fee applies.
It can be great place to take your kids.
According to their website:
"We are a year-round nature center with approximately five miles of trails available for hiking, skiing, and snowshoeing. With only two full-time year-round staff people, we service school groups, scout groups, special-interest groups, and the general public on a daily basis. We rely heavily on volunteer help to man the building while we are on the trails with groups, to help with special events like our maple sugaring program, and to assist us with trail maintenance."
