Harry Bliss is a staff cartoonist at The New Yorker, has a syndicated cartoon panel ("Bliss"), and has illustrated numerous books. He collaborates on occasion with the comedian Steve Martin on cartoons (signed "Bliss/Martin"), some of which were collected in a book (A Wealth Of Pigeons) in 2020. He was born in Henrietta and graduated from what is now Rush-Henrietta High School. He currently lives in Cornish NH, in the former home of author J. D. Salinger.
