I regret it. I didn't have a menu on hand, so I used the one on their MySpace page. I ended up ordering BBQ Spare Ribs (6) for $7.99, Loaded Nachos for $5.99, and a 2-liter of soda for $2.35. Come to find out that the menu is outdated, and the ribs were actually $9.99. On top of that, I only got 5 of them. Driver forgot the soda, of course, but I didn't realize it until after he was gone. Then there's the $4.25 in extra fees just for having it delivered, and they still expect you to tip. Not to mention the fact that they charge a fee for using a credit card, which is actually illegal in NY. I ended up paying $28 for just over $12 worth of mediocre food. Avoid this place at all costs, because whatever the costs might be, they are still cheaper than eating here. --["Users/MichaelJacobs"]</span> </td> </tr> </table> </div> https://rocwiki.org/Hong_Kong_Househttps://rocwiki.org/Hong_Kong_House?action=diff&version1=11&version2=12&ts=1265598579Hong Kong House2010-02-08T03:09:39ZChrisDattiloComment added. <div id="content" class="wikipage content"> Differences for Hong Kong House<p><strong></strong></p><table> <tr> <td> <span> Deletions are marked with - . </span> </td> <td> <span> Additions are marked with +. </span> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Line 32: </td> <td> Line 32: </td> </tr> <tr> <td> </td> <td> <span>+ ------<br> + ''2010-02-07 22:09:39'' [[nbsp]] This little gem, located just steps from my apartment, is quickly becoming my "go-to" establishment for asian culinary creations. I recently stumbled into "Hong Kong House" around 1:30am after being flabbergasted by the giant, sprawling menu plastered in the front window. I swear this menu, oozing with international delights, is sure to shock you! In the same restaurant you slurp up your Italian spaghetti and meatballs, your friends can be munching down a delicious beef souvlaki. And why not pick up a "jumbo pretzel" to-go for the shockingly reasonable price of $1.99. I mean, come on guys, see if Auntie Anne will give you one of hers for less! During my trip, I picked up an order of General Tso's chicken, a dish I normally enjoy at any of the many Americanized asian restaurants in this city. Yet, I was hopeful because they are open until 3am and my friends and I can never agree on what type of food we want to order. Monroe Ave is so filled with great restaurants of every kind you can get anything just not from one place and not if you are hungry after partying late. I was disappointed. One of my friends ordered Chinese one ordered Italian and one ordered Greek. Everything tasted Chinese it was like the meat was all seasoned already and they just cooked it and through it in to what ever type of food they made. The fried rice was burnt, everything was greasy and I just felt sick after I ate like you might after eating a large amount of low quality food that was not healthy for you one bit. I am usually a healthy eater so this might of been a system shock or something but if you are use to low quality greasy food you might love it. The portions were large and the price was lower than if you had actually went to a Chinese, Italian or Greek place but the quality was lower then I would like. Another plus was when I called I spoke to someone who was clearly American so I did not have to worry about trying to under stand a person of Asian descent while trying to figure out exactly what my friends wanted to eat. The chicken finger sub was the closest to a Buffalo style chicken finger sub (yes one actually from buffalo) that I have ever tasted in Rochester. For some reason so many places in Rochester just can't get it right, they drown the fingers in sauce and you end up with a soggy mess, but not here! Just make sure you specify you want the fingers mild/med/hot on it. The rolls they use appear to be and taste like Costanza rolls that they use in Buffalo. The fried dumplings also appear to be deep fried which is quite delicious. The pizza is great as well, and they are consistently open till 2 am with delivery (don't know anywhere else that in Roc that like that). The dining room isn't set up for a romantic dinner IMO as they have a TV set up normally with a movie on but it has great quick food, especially late at night. --["Users/JohnPaulTakats"]</span> </td> </tr> </table> </div> https://rocwiki.org/Hong_Kong_Househttps://rocwiki.org/Hong_Kong_House?action=diff&version1=1&version2=2&ts=1236289154Hong Kong House2009-03-05T21:39:14Zalexandergartleyadded wiki link to 2008 <div id="content" class="wikipage content"> Differences for Hong Kong House<p><strong></strong></p><table> <tr> <td> <span> Deletions are marked with - . </span> </td> <td> <span> Additions are marked with +. </span> </td> </tr> <tr> <td> Line 15: </td> <td> Line 15: </td> </tr> <tr> <td> <span>-</span> '''Hong Kong House''' is a ["Chinese"] ["Restaurants" restaurant] on ["South Clinton Avenue"] in the ["Swillburg"] neighborhood.
