LA Fitness is a health club franchise. In December 2013, they purchased the two local Rochester Athletic Clubs, then closed them. On July 26, 2019, the first signature series LA Fitness opened on Rockwood Street off East Avenue next to Record Archive. Signature series is an upscale version offering higher level equipment and more amenities than a traditional LA Fitness. On December 19, 2022, they opened a location at Perinton Square Mall. The four other locations used Esporta Fitness branding from August 2021 to August 2024.1
