Mark Chauvin Bezinque, Esq. is an attorney who focuses on separation, divorce, child custody, spousal and child support, prenuptial agreements, wills, real estate closings and other matters affecting families. Mr. Bezinque practices in the Collaborative Law process and in court.
Collaborative Divorce Law
Collaborative Law is a way of handling family law matters whereby the couple and their attorneys agree to work together in resolving the issues using problem-solving strategies rather than adversarial approaches and litigation. Mr. Bezinque was the first to introduce Collaborative Law to the Rochester, NY area and a founding member of the Collaborative Law Association of the Rochester Area, Inc. ("Clara") and is on the board of CLARA.
Divorce and Separation Via the Court System
Not all couples are able to resolve their differences collaboratively. To support clients in this situation, Mr. Bezinque continues his litigation practice. He is experienced in helping his clients resolve financial issues such as child support and alimony (spousal support or maintenance); dividing property, debt, taxes and retirement funds; and custody, visitation, residency and decision making.
Education and Work History
Mr. Bezinque is a 1993 graduate of the University of Buffalo School of Law where he served as Articles Editor for the Buffalo Law Review. He worked as an Appellate Court Attorney for the Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department in Rochester, NY before entering private practice. He is legal counsel to the Rochester Bicycling Club.
Free parking is available next to the building on Exchange Boulevard. Please bring your parking stub from that lot to your appointment with Mr. Bezinque for validation.
