2008-08-29 10:46:02   Scary dump. But I know many people who love it here. If you enjoy Lux, then you will really like Marges. Tip: Wear your favorite flip flops so you can partake in the beach backyard. If not youll be stuck with sand in your shoes. —MrRochester

2008-10-22 16:16:35   Truly is the 'Best kept secret in Seabreeze.' Cozy atmosphere inside, with a refreshing outdoor deck and sandy beach looking out to the lake. A great place to just hang out and have fun. While some may call it a 'dive', it is a great local place to just have a drink and relax. Their jukebox is loaded with classics old and new. There is something to be said about a bar owned by the same family for 48 years. —Petey

2008-12-09 10:34:14   This is the best summer place in Rochester, hands down. Not a dump and definitely not scary. Definitely a different crowd than Lux. (If he had not mentioned the sand back yard, I would have thought the above commenter was commenting about the wrong place.) Because of the curve of the shoreline, you actually get great sunsets on the lake. The people are a great mix, the staff is nice but sometimes a bit crusty. This is the best summer, laid back and chill place in Rochester when it is warm out. It is yourself, unless you like to sit inside all summer and complain about everything. Check out their website, it shows a good slice of what the place is about. —BadFish

2009-06-02 09:06:58   Cool place, but good luck with parking, which is best described as "good luck". The boat launch parking lot across the street is reserved for vehicles with boat trailers and if the cops want to ticket you in January, they can and they will. If there's a secret to parking legally & safely for Marge's, hopefully someone will share it. —SamKatt
