2006-12-22 19:27:48 The food from this place is only okay. Three stars, or 6 out of 10, whatever... The advantage it has is that is is the only place that will deliver to the U of R area that I am aware of. So it's a nice change from pizza when I am to lazy to cook. —EricMoon
2006-12-22 21:52:10 Eric, you can also get Chinese food from Ming's Noodles delivered to UR. Check out www.urfoodexpress.com (there are a few other restaurants too). Enjoy! I got food from New Number One once or twice and it was fine for Chinese take-out, but I definitely prefer Ming's. —RachelBlumenthal

2007-08-07 20:18:34 This is some of the most disgusting chinese food I have ever eaten. They forgot my order, so it wasn't ready when I got there and it had to be cooked while I waited. There are clearly no hygienic practices whatsoever going on at this place, I watched as my food was handled with bare hands before AND after cooking, the whole place is filthy and smells bad. To top it off, my "chicken" (if you can call bits of fat chicken) lomein was not fully cooked and parts were still pink. Oh yea, and I found a nice thick black hair in my food after the 3rd bite. 2007-12-06 21:01:40 I respectfully have to disagree with Marc V. Their general tso's is only OK, and... the other day at work we placed an order with them at 11 am, they said that they'd have it to us by noon, then they didn't come until after 12:30!! After all that waiting, the food was hardly worth it, but hey we were starving and it was too late to get something else by then. We've all vowed never to order from this place again. —EricArdis

2009-05-19 20:41:56 We work in downtown rochester so its quite a ways to this place for them to delivery - about a 10 min drive. My co-workers love this place, which is why we still order from here, but NEVER have we gotten an order before one hour after it was place. They always say they are busy - and it is very likely, the actual place is a whole in the wall shack - its disgusting actually, the floor is gross, the two tables are falling apart and I've seen them handle cooked food with their bare hands as well.
The few good things thing they've got going on - its free delivery of course, but their lunch specials comes with the food, rice, AND a drink or soup - some places won't do that - for under $5. I always get their crab meat rangoon, its $3 and greasy as hell but I love it.
Tip: DO NOT place your order online. I did that at 5:44, but the conformation list 5:59, so it seems that it takes 15 min to get through to them. And that order - didnt get here until 7:51 - a two hour wait, they'll say the same thing when you call them - they're really busy - but two hours?!?! There plenty other chinese restaurant that offers better - go there. Oh, and the driver put up a big stink about getting only a 50 cents tip because of that. Some quality customer care they've got going. —heyhowareyou

It seems like they got over stressed with the number of orders they get and I won't be ordering from them again until they can get the order time down. —ForrestG2
