This was the least positive dining experience I have had at a Japanese restaurant in Rochester. Atmosphere was low-end. We were seated near a television that was blaring a football game. When we asked that it be turned down, they turned on mute, and then we could hear one of the employees' children running around, squealing. The food was okay, not great. Miso soup was bland with very little tofu. Salad was just iceberg lettuce with some shredded diakon and watery ginger dressing. I had the sushi roll dinner: Philadelphia roll (too much cream cheese), shrimp roll (too little shrimp) and California roll (made with cucumber instead of avocado, but had some tobiko sprinkled on top which was nice). My husband had the chicken teriaki which was okay. Service was poor - our server's English was limited and he didn't seem familiar with the menu. We never got water. He served my beer in the bottle without a glass. Our dinners were served at different times. He brought my husband the wrong dinner. We were charged for a bottle of sake ($8.95) that we never ordered, although they quickly removed it from our bill when we complained. Also, watch out if you have a Groupon - the table next to us tried to use a Groupon and they would not let them apply it to one of the Chinese meals. We will not be back. --["Users/Amgineus"]

The food, is good and ok priced. the sushi chef is very nice and more helpfull than the server. I have brought people in but they wont be back due to the $1 charge for left sushi. If you just dont like that roll or it is fishy, your not going to eat it...If they stop this silly charge and simply send 4 rolls with the first order & then allow 2 roll limites after that people will be happy. not for nothing, that is what calf rolling does and it works. The all you can eat sushi is very limited, they should add a box noted "chefs choice" this could be a roll not on the menu to spice up things for the regulars. I have been told the price will go wi to like $21... boy I hope not because thats not a lunch price anymore...... Started with the Miso soup which was OK, salad (iceberg lettuce with 6 or 7 pieces of purple cabbage on top and dressing) Thumbs down! Selection of Sushi is kind of small for the all you can eat ( about 10 different types of rolls) and they are the plain rolls. It took them a long time to get the rolls and when they arrived they were kind of dry and tasteless, tried some of the rice and it was just that, rice without any flavor. Both of us did the all-you-can-eat sushi dinner for $16.99. The menu they give you comes with a dry erase marker, so you can specify how many of which items (nigiri/rolls, etc) you want. They also state the 4 uneaten pieces = $1 charge at the top of the menu, but as they are very specific how many pieces come with each item, and they encourage frequent re-orders, it's simple to not over order. Our server was very attentive, and came over whenever our platter was empty. + The selection for the all-you-can-eat was limited to a set number of options, but definitely was enough for us. Would definitely become repetitive if you went every week, but is fine for the occaisional visit. They also brought us more miso soup when we asked, at no charge, and also gave us a suprise dessert at the end. + + Next time we go I think I'll try the regular menu. This place was a chinese buffet place, but this outfit has reburbed the whole inside-looks nice. I think they are still getting settled as our server was unsure of what accompanied hibachi (even though it's right on the menu) and he then said my dining mates could take home their leftover sushi, and then returned to say they could not. So, in the future, I would encourage my dining mates to only order a few rolls/nigiri at a time. Their eyes were bigger than their stomachs last night.
