Oak Hill, designed by architect Donald Ross, is arguably the most prestigious golf course in Rochester, or even Western New York. It has hosted many major tournaments, including 2 U.S. Amateurs, 3 US Opens, 2 PGA Championships and the 1995 Ryder Cup. In August 2013 hosted the PGA Championship. See: 95th PGA Championship
Oak Hill originally was located where the University of Rochester River Campus currently is. Oak Hill and the U of R traded land in 1921, and Oak Hill moved to its current location in Pittsford (With four times more land, plus $360,000 from the University).
