Started in 2008 by Zach Stasz and Elliott Pruitt, Stasz/Pruitt Productions has produced eight successful play's and their eighth play (A Kind Kind Man) opened on February 24th 2011 at UNDER St. Marks as part of the Frigid NY Festival. Stasz/Pruitt Production's has numerous project's lined up in the near future. In the Summer of 2011, Zach and Elliott will bring back the imaginative power of Shel Silverstein to the Stages of NYC with the help of Space on White. An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein will be debuting in the summer of 2011....
Their last dramatic play, "BASH", a dark drama by Neil LaBute was peformed at MuCCC from June 4th 2010 and closed on June 12th . "Bash" was considered a succcessful example of dark theatre that is making a comeback in Rochester, NY area. Their comedy from the summer of 2009, An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein opened July 24th 2009 and sold out almost every performance. It was so successful, that Stasz/Pruitt Productions decided to bring it back to the stage for three last performances which happened on September 24th, 26th and 27th 2009. Their lastest webisode venture, a local satire news TV show called Under the ROC debuted in 2009 on youtube and facebook. Google episodes featuring Chase Weston and Erica Eastman as they explore the absurdity of the local politics in Rochester.
In December of 2009, Elliott moved to Los Angeles, CA to further pursue his acting and producing career in film but briefly returned to Rochester to produce "BASH" and act in Black Sheep Theatre's production of "Harvey" which opened on October 1st 2010. In June of 2010, Zach was accepted and enrolled in the Vassar Powerhouse Program for directing at Vassar College. This is an elite six week intensive program designed to hone and improve the skills of the most talented directors in the country. In early September of 2010, Zach moved to NYC to pursue his career in directing and producing theatre and film. Look for future projects from Stasz/Pruitt Productions in both Rochester, NY, NYC and Los Angeles, CA.
