The Stickley Museum |
Stickley, Audi & Co is a furniture manufacture and retailer with additional home furnishings such as rugs and accessories. The retail outlets include the Victor showroom above and a showroom in Fayetteville, NY.
Their emphasis is on Mission, Traditional and Contemporary furniture, which is perfect for the tens of thousands of late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries homes in Rochester. The Audi portion of this family business integrates rugs and accessories to match this furniture.
The stuff is not cheap, but it will almost certainly outlast its original owner. Or three.
The Stickley furniture plant is about an hours drive from Rochester in the small town of Manlius, NY, near Syracuse.
The Stickley museum is located on the top floor of the Fayetteville Library, in the building of the original Stickley factory. The museum is only open limited days and hours, so make sure you look into that before you show up. You can look at this old Stickley catalog for examples of the style of furniture for which they are famous.

2008-03-05 22:16:10 Nice staff. Love their Metropolitan bedroom, high quality. Expensive but the quality is there. Would definitely recommend. —LorenzoServantes
2008-07-20 15:18:51 The Stickley family also owns the wonderful Geneva on the Lake hotel and restaurant. We stayed once in the Stickley Suite, full of their fine furniture. Expensive, but wonderful place to stay, dine and sit high above the lake. —BradMandell
2008-08-28 08:28:27 I live a short walk through the woods from the Stickley showroom in Fayetteville, NY. In addition to the showroom in Fayetteville and factory in Manlius, it's worth a short stop at the The Stickley Museum in Fayetteville if you have a serious interest in the company, mission furniture, or woodworking.
