The Strasenburgh Planetarium opened in 1968 at the Rochester Museum and Science Center. It offers public star shows by the Zeiss Star Projector on the 4-story dome. It also regularly offers large-screen movie presentations and laser light/music shows. Educational programs are frequently done for school groups.
On Saturday evenings (weather permitting) the planetarium's telescope is open on the roof for free public viewing.
