2011-02-19 15:39:11 I grew up in Wisconsin, where supper clubs are very common (and hard to explain). Since moving to Rochester we've been on the hunt for a supper club atmosphere and we found it at The Johnson House. The restaurant is like eating in someone's cozy basement rec room. My husband and I both had steaks and they were well seasoned and cooked- and delicious. We had a couple of martinis and a huge crock of french onion soup before the main course- also delicious. The waitstaff was friendly and it's obvious that they have been there a long time- and enjoy their jobs. Lots of other diners who looked to be regulars. Prices are very fair and the portions were very appropriate for the price. I can't say enough good things- we will be back whenever we need a taste of home. Not fancy but just what we were looking for. Highly recommend! —ShawnaLusk
