The Strand is a real locally owned and operated old-school movie theater on Main Street in Brockport. According to their website, it is one of the oldest existing movie theaters in the country.
Prices according to the web site: Matinees (before 6PM) $5.50 for everyone, Evenings (after 6) Adults $7.50, Children(under 12)/Senior Citizens(over 62)/collect students (with college ID) $5.50.

2005-12-13 19:43:35 I like supporting local businesses, but The Strand makes it difficult. Films 'break' mid-viewing, heaters break (allegedly) before the night's final showing, and employees lock the doors if nobody shows up 5 minutes prior to a showtime. I hate to give my money to Tinseltown, but at least they seem to want it. —JohnGormly
