True North Rochester Preparatory Charter School (previously known as Rochester Prep) is a public Rochester City School District charter school which began operation in 2006-2007. See their About Us Page for details on their mission and values.
In 2009-2010 the school had a total enrollment of 276 students in 5th through 8th grade. In August 2010, the school will open an elementary school with 150 students in grades K-1 initially. Eventually the school will have grades K-8 in two separate buildings.
On both the 2009 NYS Math and ELA tests, Rochester Prep's 7th grade class posted a perfect 100% proficiency rate - among the highest in Monroe County.
