Union Place Coffee Roasters is a coffee roastery, retail shop, and coffee bar in the Genesee Valley Regional Market. Owner Laurie DiProspero opened Union Place May 6th, 2013 after Maidstone Coffee closed their retail outlet (which she operated). Union Place sources raw coffee beans from Maidstone, roasts them on-site, and sells direct to the public.

2013-05-29 13:40:55 A hidden gem for smart coffee lovers in Rochester. Once within Maidstone roasters, I stumbled on it because an OPEN sign in the front of Maidstones warehouse-like building was intriguing, and the smell of the roasting coffee lured me in. Lori has since opened her own location and sells wholesale and direct to public. It is a little tricky to find back behind Palmer's on a separate drive, but a clean and cozy interior once you are there. Beans freshly roasted on-site at a much lower cost than many roasters, in some cases nearly half price! She usually has a pot on, or will brew you a fresh one. —MarkPierce

2024-10-23 21:55:18 I am very pleased I found Union Place. I joked with employees today that I hope Union Place gets some foot traffic from the MJ Dispensary next door. Yeesh, next time I am there I will shoot a photo of the front door. —GaryGocek
