Bill Lawler 5K Run/Walk
May 1 2010 - organization sponsors "5K run/walk in honor of Rochester police Officer Bill Lawler, who has the genetic code for Huntington's disease. Lawler's friends at Matthew's East End Grill helped organize a race to support research. John Vito from the former O'Bagelo's on State Street donated breakfast food for the morning race; the Locust Club, the police officers union of which Lawler is a member, donated $1,000; race t-shirts were donated at "less than cost" rates by John Fiorica, a fellow police officer and owner of Crime Dog Gear, an apparel printing company."
