WHEC TV-10 is Rochester's NBC Television affiliate.

Interesting factoids about WHEC-TV Channel 10:

First signed onto the air as WHEC AM in 1925, founded by Lawrence Hickson. The station call letters (WHEC) stand for Hickson Electric Company.
WHEC applied for a TV broadcast license as a CBS affiliate in 1953.
WHEC shared the channel 10 spot on the dial with WVET, a station staffed by World War II veterans.
The FCC granted a "dual permit" license to WHEC and WVET, the only time it has ever done that. This meant that WVET broadcast its material on channel 10 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and WHEC broadcast on those airwaves on Sun., Sat., Tues. and Thursday.
