Business Spotlight of the Month (update)
The group discussed the complaints over the Local Slang page. It was decided that the variations on the use of the word "Retard" in two variations here-Botard and RITard were really bordering on inappropriate and could be removed.
Based on Wiki Community/Etiquette, there is a clear statement that health concerns do not belong on the Wiki. The group agreed there is a careful line to read here. A statement such as "I had a glass that was dirty" would be considered ok, but stating "There are rats here" would not be acceptable and will be removed. Concerns were raised over a recent comment on Lilu Cafe-"Please don't support this restaurant!!! The owner had an affair with my husband. She broke up our home where we were raising a toddler." It has absolutely nothing to do with the operation of the restaurant (very personal matter) and should be removed.
To be clear: statements like the Lilu situation, and other health-related situations will be removed.
PeteB expressed concerns that we need to recruit new businesses for this feature. EileenF said she would talk to Utter Clutter and Far Out Vintage personally.
