Winterfest is an annual winter festival held at Mendon Ponds Park. The event is sponsored by the Monroe County Parks Department.
The festival features a range of outdoor activities, including ice boating, ice fishing, nature walks, orienteering, cross country skiing, sledding, and snowshoeing.1
History
The festival was first held in 1996, and was organized by Ken Hann.
