Gangs

For many years, gangs and gang related crime has been a significant problem in our city, consistently pushing our homicide rate toward the top of the state. Rochester's neighbor to the west, Buffalo, has ongoing problems with both local and national gangs, such as the Latin Kings. It is estimated that there are around 50 gangs presently in Buffalo.¹
