Parks abound in the Rochester area and offer year round recreation. Whether you're interested in a casual stroll, hiking, running, picnics, cross country skiing, fishing, sports, photography, site seeing, reading a book under a tree, or just hanging out with friends—there is something here for everyone. Parks are normally operated by the City of Rochester, a Town or Village, Monroe County, State of New York, or the National Park Service. Many of the parks have shelters and facilities available for rental or reservation. Check with the relevant city, town, village, or county website for more information. Some parks with no RocWiki entries may be found on the Talk Page. See also: City Parks, Dog Parks, and Playgrounds. NOTE: The listings below are organized geographically by county and town/village and the parks are operated by the entity listed in the header unless specified next to the park listing. |
