Capoeira Mandinga is an academy in Rochester where anyone can go to take lessons in the dance/game/martial art known as Capoeira.

Capoeira balances the body, soul and mind. It is a graceful and exciting art form that teaches you to be alert. The only indigenous martial art of the Americas, Capoeira was developed by African slaves in Brazil. This art keeps its strong traditions and enables you to break through limits, revitalizing you for everyday life.

Capoeira builds your self-confidence and the challenge is within anyones reach regardless of age, sex or athletic experience.

Carcara also teaches a class for students of the University of Rochester.
