2013-03-19 16:02:23 I hate taking my car to the brand service shops, they charge an arm and a leg and are as shady as the stereotypical salesman. I brought my car in for a recall in which they stated they would have to run a diagnostic on. I shouldn't have been charged for it but since additional items (which were known about by my mechanic) which we did tell them about came up, they insisted they needed to charge, even my mechanic at Monro is pissed at them. They then had the balls to ask if I would be coming back for my inspection (I payed for mine and had a temp until the recall was resolved at Monro), so, you think because I'm female I'm stupid enough to pay twice? Seriously? Bunch of crooks! Don't worry, I won't be purchasing any cars from you either.I will look into filing a complaint. I feel as though I need an extra shower after dealing with them. —nightlifecher
2013-03-19 17:48:45 We own a recent model civic, and had the service department install 4 snow tires on extra rims, which they store over the summer (and store summer tires over the winter-nice idea), BUT, they charge you something like $10/tire to re-set those silly pressure sensors each time they do the seasonal "free tire change". Also, the day they mounted the tires, they put on 3 of the 4 tires backwards! So, don't leave their service department without checking the repair first, and NEVER expect that anything they call 'free' will actually BE free! —alex-c
