Think Rochesterians don't partake in hula hooping? Think again! For some it is a popular outdoor activity, or an indoor activity in colder months.

General hula hoop gathering! Wednesdays at 6 pm @ Genesee Valley Park (weather permitting of course!)
Indoor Winter Meeting Spot- Flying Squirrel Community Space

Do you already hoop? Then come join the fun! New to hooping? Give it a whirl then!

Hula Hooping is a lot of fun and a great way to get in shape! This activity is exploding in popularity in other cities. So fun, simple, and healthy! Bring your own hoop, or extras are available for people to borrow. Come spin your stress away! Don't be afraid if you think you can't hula hoop! These aren't light, small little kid hoops. They're heavier and bigger, adult sized. (Kid-sized are available too!) Everyone is welcome!

The group is open to any current hoopers, as well as people who've never been exposed to hooping before, or have always wanted to try it. Mentors can help you get started or work on some tricks, but this isn't a structured, formal, fitness class. This is structured like a club, where hoopers of all levels can come together and learn from each other. Missing a meeting or arriving late isn't a problem at all. Come when ever your schedule allows for it!
