2006-01-03 16:27:24 Great food, great value, great delivery! What else can I say? They have your typical paper menu consisting of tons of chicken, beef and pork dishes. I recently tried the "Tai Chi Chicken" ($8.00) and it's awesome (it's really just General Tso's with a bunch of mixed veggies but it's awesome food and you get a ton of it). —RickUrwin
2006-12-14 03:01:11 Just had dinner delivered from here to the UofR... and what can I say? I am FLOORED!! I ordered the mixed-veggie with Tofu in bean soup. It came with rice. I ordered a "small" and quite frankly, the amount they put into one dinner box would serve a family of four! Extremely generous in portions, on time in delivery. And taste, you ask? It was great. The tofu was perfect, the broccoli was crunchy and yet cooked and the rice was slightly sticky. In short, the perfect combo dinner. —TinyPliny
2007-04-02 01:59:52 one of the only places with a bilingual menu—impressive —EugeniaHuang
2007-04-04 21:02:38 The food is OKAY, the best thing is the price. But they REALLY need someone who speaks English to answer the phone. —JoSeph
2007-04-05 06:42:53 only decent take out fried rice i have found... —JcPop
2007-10-03 11:44:54 General Tso chicken. What can I say, I'm addicted. —TimBonion
2007-12-06 21:06:54 I agree with the previous posters. This is the best Chinese place that I've found in the South Wedge/North Brighton area, which is where I both live and work. The food is good, great portion size, and priced VERY reasonably. I work on the 3rd floor of my office building, and they will come upstairs to deliver (some places won't do that, or they'll whine about having to) Just be sure to leave enough time if you order though, sometimes it'll take up to 40-45 minutes for them to get your delivery to you. Also, the $10 minimum for deliveries is mildly annoying, but other than that, this place is great. —EricArdis
2008-04-02 16:57:33 Definitely the best Chinese in the University of Rochester area. I've yet to find a place that tops it. Sadly, they're not on Campusfood.com, nor are they open as late as Yummy Garden. —TarynKimel
2008-04-04 10:59:43 Living in the Strong/Upper Mt. Hope neighborhood I have been going to Jing Li's for several years. Overall, I love their dishes (and the great $ value) but in the last couple of years my meals have been spotty (I regularly order the same appetizers/dishes so have a base to compare to). Sometimes on, more times slightly off (lack of flavor, greasiness). I'm not sour on Jing Li's but just not as pleased with the consistent meals I use to pick-up. —LizDee
2008-10-28 13:52:02 I have ordered from here many times, and have been pleased with the food. Here is a review of the usual items I order:
Crab Rangoon - good, average amount of filling
Egg Drop Soup - I order it with extra egg or else it is very lacking, otherwise it's fantastic!
General Tso's Chicken - I ask for it with white meat and it is AWESOME! Comes very crispy with a good amount of meat.
Steamed Vegetables - Fresh and crispy.
Chicken Chow Fun - Where's the chicken? I don't order this one anymore.
Kung Pao Chicken - Too little meat and peanuts, too much celery. I don't order this one anymore.
2009-10-12 11:24:13 We like Jing Li for certain things - veg. w/ garlic sauce is great and we like the 'tai chin' chicken too. Kung pao / cashew chicken - not a fan of, since I don't like deep fried chicken for this dish. —MVP
2009-12-07 20:48:10 I use to go to this place from RIT simply because they were the best I could find in Rochester. Still not as good as the place in Ohio I use to go to, but close. —DamianKumor
2012-01-12 17:04:31 I have been ordering from different places in the henrietta road area and this is the best chinese delivery in the area.
I asked them about their Kung Pao Chicken once and they said they added more peanuts because they read on here that there were not enough. they got some people to work the phones during the week that i can understand (although they still have an accent) so they care too —VenoMinon
