Lyell-Otis is a diverse working-class neighborhood that is primarily industrial in character, particularly around Mt. Read Boulevard and Emerson Street. Lyell Avenue itself forms a busy southern border with the U.N.I.T. Neighborhood. There are some residential streets as well.
