2014-10-31 21:25:44   We order from these guys all of the time. I love their pizza. I think it's some of the best around. However, tonight was inexcusable. It's Halloween. I figured they would be busy. I ordered a pizza at 5:15. I decided to pick it up because I knew the driver's would have a lot on their plates tonight. It's usually 20 minutes for a pickup. They told me an hour tonight. No big deal, like I said, I knew they'd be busy. I went down there at 6:15 and there were people crowded into the small space in front of the counter as well as waiting outside. People started joking that I wouldn't get my pizza any time soon. Some people had been waiting 45 minutes. They were slammed. There must have been at least 8 people working in the small kitchen. The women who was at the register was overwhelmed. Took 10 minutes before I could even ask about my order. She told me it was in the oven and would be ready in 8 minutes. In the mean time other customers were waiting. Some left, others complained, others took in in stride. The women behind the counter kept saying it was "the busiest night of the year". This other guy who was in fact a little rude, finally got his pizzas, he commented on the wait and the women said, "well, it's the busiest night of the year, you should've stayed home and made your own pizza". Now it was my turn again to ask about my pizza, 12 minutes had gone by. I had left the kids at home alone thinking I would be gone 5 minutes. She said to me, "THEY WON'T TELL ME ANYTHING, DO YOU WANT ME TO CRAWL IN THE OVEN AND CHECK?" I said, "yes, please do something, I really need to go. And by the way, I have managed pizza places for many years, I am a regular customer, and I am asking about my pizza. And you are telling people they should stay home and make their own pizzas, what kind of a way is that to talk to people?" She said, "I can say whatever I want, you can leave if you don't like it". I was about to leave when a level headed guy came out from the back with my pizza. I wanted to refuse it, but the kids were home waiting for this pie for dinner. This presents me with quite a dilemma. I don't want to ever go there again, but having been in the pizza business for many years in my life, I am very particular and I do like their pizza. I guess I'll just have to make all of my own pizza at home from now on. —JohnGreatly

2014-11-01 09:53:47   Honestly, I don't blame her. I've worked in customer service and the combination of being swamped and dealing with rude, impatient customers is lethal. It's a shame these people make as little money as they do, given the stress they deal with. —EileenF

2014-11-25 11:39:34   UPDATE- The owner apologized to me. I really appreciate that. Their pizza us great. EileenF- I don't disagree with you about the pay:stress ratio but that is no reason to speak to people this way. —JohnGreatly
