Anarchism is a broad political philosophy, centered around opposition to any sort of non-reciprocal, non-consentual authority. Read more about it at the Wikipedia entry on Anarchism. Rochester has several ties to anarchism, including the fact that when Emma Goldman moved to the US in 1885, she first settled here, in Rochester.
