2008-07-06 13:48:23 I'll be the first to admit that at one point in time I was a big fan of Applebee's, and that in recent times (over the past year or so) I have drifted away from the fan base. Still, last night with Mykanos surprisingly closed, we opted to head over to Applebee's right next door. I ordered the Oriental Chicken Salad, and although I expected something teriyaki based, it was more creamy in nature and surprisingly very good. Two salads and two pops, $23. Relatively expensive for a salad—but it was most definitely delicious. I was told that the Chicken Cesar Salad was also decent. If you're in the market for a salad, these are definitely worth trying. —LincolnComet
2010-11-17 17:26:45 Applebee's hasn't met a thick, gooey, sweet 'n salty sauce it doesn't like drowning fried food in. My suggestion: look for a local diner. You'll be glad you did. —BatGuano

2014-02-23 17:30:00 Chili Ave location (Gates) is one of the worst take-out experiences I have ever had. We had a $20 coupon from an oil change we got at Delta Sonic so thought we would get a couple of sandwiches. After waiting for 30 minutes as the staff took cigarette breaks (while our food was sitting on the counter) we called the manager, who hung up on my husband. Worst service ever. The food was cold (obviously) but also sub-par. I wasn't surprised but had moderate hopes for a free dinner. We got what we paid for. —shawnalusk
