Carla Morris is a local designer of hand-sewn hats, headbands, and other accessories made out of old wool sweaters, vintage buttons, recycled fabric, and paint. She is a calculus teacher who got into sewing in 2005, shortly after her daughter was born and her mother-in-law gave her an antique sewing machine. Her creations may be purchased online from Etsy.
