2013-10-29 17:03:45 A 'fixture' of a restaurant that has seen better days. The food is adequate, but hardly exciting. The service is sub-standard. The crowd......well, that's where this place falls flat. The crowd here is your traditional Penfield suburbanite bar crowd, heavily tending towards those in the education field. It's more about the bar than the food, and if you are a regular there, you'll be coming back even if they served you dog food (which, thankfully, they don't).
Yeah, it COULD be worse, but then, it really could be so much better. Go there only if you want to meet your neighbors, or want to see how badly your old high school teachers (now 10 years into retirement) look today. I suppose the sight of my old H.S. gym teacher, now 70-ish, obviously dying his hair and getting sloshed at the bar might've been worth the trip alone. Watching him trying to pick up women young enough to be his grand-daughter was also a hoot, but the mediocre food didn't make up for the amusing floor show.
