2012-07-24 11:02:39   First, I feel it is important to say that I have never written a review for anything before - I felt it was usually the type of person that complains about everything that would take the time to write a negative review online. Therefore, the bad reviews can't really be trusted because they're just from miserable people with too much time on their hands... that is until my experience with Comfort Windows & Doors and their HORRIBLE customer service!! Our initial visit went well - representative seemed helpful/knowledgeable. First problem - the initial quote they gave us was $1,000 less than the actual price. They were very apologetic, said it was a mistake in miscounting how many windows we needed, said they would throw in full screens for free to offset the inconvenience. This seemed reasonable so we signed the contract, paid our deposit, then didn't hear from them for 9 weeks! Even better, when I finally got them on the phone to ask what the hold up was (they were just "backed up") they told me that they actually would NOT be able to give me the screens for free. At that point we were already under contract and couldn't get out. It took another week for them to finally come do the install - SURPRISINGLY 3 of the windows were ordered incorrectly. It took another 6 weeks to get the "correct" windows ordered, and then one of them was still not right and had to be re-ordered (again). All in all it took 7 months to get all of the windows installed properly. The entire time I was calling, emailing, trying to let them know how dissatisfied I was with their customer service - I never heard back from anyone. Finally I wrote a letter that was answered with a $50 wegman's gift card (less than 1% of what we had paid for our windows)... thanks a lot. And it gets better - just cleaned the windows for the first time, we've had them for about 8 weeks, and one broke! It no longer stays open when you put it up... what a surprise! DO NOT EVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM COMFORT WINDOWS & DOORS - YOU WILL BE SORRY!! —kb317
