Dandelion Day

Dandelion Day is an annual one-day spring festival at the University of Rochester. It is sometimes referred to as 'Drinking Day,' and most popularly is known as 'D-Day.' It is traditionally held the last weekend before classes end. This year, it took place on Saturday, April 23, 2011. In 2008, D-Day lost funding from the administration.

History

The one-day festival was founded in 1951 by the Chairman of Traditions at the University of Rochester.1
