George Frederick Rogers served as a member of the New York Senate from 1937 to 1938. He later was elected to represent New York's 40th district as a US Congressmen, and served in that position from 1945 to 1947.
He was born in Harwood, Ontario, Canada on March 19, 1887. He later immigrated to the United States in 1899, and lived in Rochester. He worked as a food merchant from 1911 to 1943.
He died in Coburg, Ontario, Canada on November 20, 1948, and was buried in Riverside Cemetery.1
